Poems, Stories, (Bookish) Thoughts

The ability to create and to be able to breathe life into that creation, so that it stirs a reader in many different ways – maybe takes them into a past, enables them to make meaning or interpret some present, or even throws them into a future in such a way that their minds are opened to the many possibilities, for me, is truly a kind of magic I never want to lose.

What doesn’t belong

There is the sea

and there is the land

Both know too well

their boundaries

But once in time’s while

They love each other

and then they part again

Never forgetting

but remembering

where they must not

go on…

  1. This is a storng, multipurpose metaphor. It could stand for addiction, forbidden love, self-censorship, adultery and a WHOLE bunch of other things.
    Either way, it’s legit.
What I take from this is to somehow keep things in measure – especially if things can’t be that way all the time.
